# API Channel

The API channel is used for tickets and ticket messages that are created using API commands.

## Settings

   Setting Name Description   Check Spam Rules Block messages which match spam rules.   Enable Rate Limiting Limit the number of tickets and messages users can post within a timeframe, after which they will be throttled. Limits can be adjusted under the [Web channel settings](Web+Channel).
