# Troubleshoot "Whoops! Something went wrong."

## Problem

While browsing the installation I received a 500 error code response stating "Whoops! Something went wrong."

## Cause

 The message signifies that an unexpected error has occurred, it only appears while the application is running in production with debug mode disabled. It is used to prevent complex unexpected errors from being displayed to the user.

## Resolution

 Please consult the application log in `storage/logs/` within your installation directory for the actual error message. If your not sure what it means, please contact us and attach the log file.
